Letter from Ramon to the Cuban women
(In English and Spanish)
For those supreme ladies we'll keep going with our fight
Dear Cuban Women:
The history of humanity can't be written without the sweet touch, tender but strong, of women, cheerful and affective but at the same time rebel and sovereign, capable for doing monumental things and revolutionize the World.
Our history, the wonderful effort of our Revolution, has been possible because of the support and dedication of Cuban women.
There's no written page, short or giant, without her hand, from the begining and anytime, since our Mariana Grajales to our Celia Sanchez and Vilma Espin. In every field of sports,sciences, culture, polithic, education -and even inside our army- her name and image has filled -and keep going filling- the everlasting legacies of virtue and greatness.
In you, coexist the sweet granny with the fighter mother, the loyal wife and comrade in battles, the unflagging friend, the daughter with a hopeful future. In you there's is the real essence of life.
The love for the women is not just a service for her body or her accurate word, neither the infinite pleasure of her presence, the love for the women is, above any other reason, the admiration and respect for her talented creation, that attracts and conquers us.
In the name of my four brothers, Gerardo, Rene, Antonio and Fernando, and mine, I send to every and each one of our women, a big kiss and all our love, as an expression of our admiration and respect, specially for that first woman, the woman of all the Cubans, our Homeland, Cuba.
Your sovereignty and independece will always be our highest bastion.

(Carta de Ramón Labañino a la mujer cubana)
Querida mujer cubana:
La historia de la humanidad es imposible escribirla sin la mano dulce, tierna pero firme de la mujer. Esa compañera jovial y afectiva pero rebelde y soberana, capaz de hacer obras monumentales y revolucionar el mundo. Nuestra historia, la obra hermosa de nuestra Revolución, ha sido posible gracias al apoyo y a la entrega de la mujer cubana.
No hay página pequeña o gigante que ella no haya escrito, desde el inicio, desde todos los tiempos, desde nuestra Mariana Grajales hasta nuestra Celia Sánchez y nuestra Vilma Espín, y en cada una de las áreas del deporte, de las ciencias, de la cultura, de la política, de la educación, incluso dentro de nuestro propio ejército; su nombre y su imagen ha llenado y continuará llenando legados eternos de virtud y grandeza.
En ustedes está la abuelita dulce y tierna, la madre luchadora, la esposa fiel y compañera de batalla, la amiga incansable, la hija de prometedor futuro. En ustedes está la esencia misma de la vida.
El amor a la mujer no es solo el culto a su físico o a su verbo certero o al placer infinito de su presencia, es por encima de todo la admiración y respeto a su talentosa creación que nos cautiva y conquista.
A nombre de mis cuatro hermanos Gerardo, René, Antonio y Fernando y el mío propio llegue a todas y cada una de nuestras mujeres un beso y todo nuestro cariño, como expresión de nuestra admiración y respeto. Y en especial a la mujer primera, la de todos los cubanos, nuestra Patria, Cuba.
Porque su soberanía e independencia sea nuestro más elevado baluarte.
